About Guardians
Guardians travel alongside our veterans to assist them and make sure the day is safe and memorable. A guardian must be able to push their veteran in a wheelchair for most of the time in Washington, D.C., and is asked to contribute $400 toward the expense of the flight. A spouse, significant other, or partner is not eligible to serve as guardian for their own veteran.
