Your Event Can Fly a Veteran to Washington

Every Honor Flight is paid for by our community. The breakfasts, barbecues, and golf tournaments our neighbors put together are what get these flights off the ground. When you host a fundraiser for North Country Honor Flight, the money you raise sends a local veteran to stand before the memorial built in their honor. And you won't do it alone: we'll support your event from first idea to final thank-you.

A fundraiser can be anything your community loves to do. A few favorites from around the North Country:

How It Works

  1. Tell us your idea. Fill out the event application below with what you have in mind.
  2. We send you the logo. You'll get our official logo for your posters, tickets, and promotions.
  3. We put you on the schedule. Your event joins our official calendar of community fundraisers.
  4. We spread the word. We'll share your event with our followers on Facebook.

What to know about hosting a fundraiser

  • Directly to flights. North Country Honor Flight is a 100% volunteer, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit with no salaries and no offices. Money raised by community events pays for the aircraft, buses, meals, and medical support that carry our veterans to Washington, D.C. and home again the same day, at no cost to them.

  • Yes. We are a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. If your event collects donations that need receipts, mention it in your application and we'll work through it with you.

  • Your event is yours, so permits and insurance stay in your name. Raffles, games of chance, and alcohol service typically require permits from your town or state, so check before you print tickets. We're glad to point you in the right direction.

  • Once your event is approved, we add it to our schedule and share it on our Facebook page, where our North Country neighbors follow along. Send us photos and updates and we'll keep sharing.
